Terms of Use
The terms on which we offer this website and our private membership application process.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of this website and the membership application process offered through it. By browsing this website or submitting a form, you agree to these terms.
This website is operated by an independent private membership organisation. It is not a government service, public authority, family office or official programme of any state or family.
2. Eligibility
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must have legal capacity to enter into an agreement. You must provide accurate, current and complete information, and you must be the person you claim to be in your application.
You may not apply on behalf of another person without their explicit written authorisation, and you may not submit a photograph of anyone other than yourself.
We may decline or withdraw an application where information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or unverifiable.
3. Application review and discretion
All applications are reviewed individually at our sole and absolute discretion. We consider the information you provide, the coherence of your stated interests, and the balance of our community.
Submitting an application creates no contract, no membership, no reservation of a place and no expectation of acceptance. We are not obliged to give reasons for a decision, to disclose our internal assessment, or to enter into correspondence about an outcome.
We may pause, modify or close the application process at any time, and we may change membership tiers, benefits or programming as the organisation develops.
4. No guarantees
Membership is a private cultural and social affiliation only. It confers no legal, official, governmental or diplomatic status of any kind.
Nothing on this website is a promise or guarantee of acceptance, financial gain, investment return, donations, grants, visas, residency, citizenship, immigration benefit, employment, business licensing, introductions to public officials, access to government services, or sponsorship or patronage by any royal family or public body.
Any fees, where introduced, will be stated clearly before payment and relate solely to administration and programming of this private organisation.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this website to submit unlawful, abusive, defamatory or fraudulent content; to impersonate any person, organisation, official or family; to submit automated, bulk or spam submissions; to attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication or access controls; to scrape, probe or reverse engineer the service; or to introduce malicious code.
You further agree not to represent yourself publicly as a representative, agent, official or spokesperson of this organisation, or to suggest any governmental or royal endorsement of your activities, unless we have authorised it in writing.
We may suspend access, decline applications, or remove content where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
6. Intellectual property
The name, emblem, design system, editorial writing, photographs commissioned for this site and all other original material on this website are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property law.
You may view and share links to our pages, and quote short extracts of our editorial content with clear attribution. You may not reproduce, republish, resell or adapt substantial parts of the site, or use our emblem or name in a way that implies partnership, affiliation or endorsement.
By submitting material through our forms you grant us a limited licence to store and process that material for the purpose of assessing and administering your application, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party names and marks
Any reference on this website to a place, institution, family or public figure is descriptive, cultural or historical commentary only. Such references do not indicate affiliation, sponsorship, approval or endorsement, and no third-party emblem, seal, crest or official mark is used.
8. Availability and accuracy
The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that content is complete or current.
Editorial content reflects our own view at the time of writing and is provided for general interest only. It is not legal, financial, immigration or professional advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, and for loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data, arising from your use of this website or from any application decision.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information, photographs, retention periods and deletion is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE OPERATOR], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
This placeholder must be completed with the operator's chosen jurisdiction before the website is used commercially.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the organisation develops. The version published on this page at the time of your use is the version that applies. Material changes will be reflected here.
